About this symposium
The International Symposium on Chemical-Environmental-Biomedical Technology started since 2006, as a joint effort between professors in National Cheng Kung University (Taiwan) and Tohoku University (Japan). As you can see on the list below, the symposium has been hosted in turn among the universities in Taiwan and Japan. It's main characteristic includes the entire "life cycle" of the symposium: it is planned and arranged by international organizing committee, whose members are entirely students. By offering such opportunity, we plan to assist the students to acquire hands-on experiences on international academic collaboration, in addition to the research presentations.
Organizing Committee
isCEBT has a tradition to form its organizing committee having only students as its members. Through the planning and operation of the symposium, the students will acquire international perspectives and communication skills.
Association for Internationalization of Young Researchers
A group of faculty members at the Department of Applied chemistry, chemical engineering, and biomolecular engineering at Tohoku University form this association to facilitate the operation of isCEBT as a core activity to achieve its mission. The mission of the association is to help students to enhance their academic skills that are necessary in the international context.
